Flower delivery in Mezina from a local florist

Mezina lies about 3.5 km south of Bruntál and has around 380 residents. The village first appears in written records in 1270. According to one interpretation, the name Mezina refers to a place on a boundary.

The village's landmark is the Baroque Church of the Holy Trinity, dating from 1722. Above Mezina rises the extinct Venus Volcano (643 m), with a flat crater and lava caves. The Lava Flow near Mezina Nature Monument, designated in 1997, features basalt columns resembling organ pipes. Mezina was part of Bruntál from 1979 to 1990 and has been an independent municipality again since 1990.
